School equipment for children in need

Hungarian Interchurch Aid has filled the school bags of 2000 children in Hungary with much needed school supply and did not forget about those families living abroad to whom starting a new school year is a real burden.

In seventeen locations of Transylvania HIA has distributed 263 school supply kits to elementary-, and high school students. With the good quality equipment we want to ensure that underprivileged children can have equal opportunities regardless of their background.

HIA has been providing assistance in child development in Transcarpathia for several years by now. This year, a strategic partner of our NGO, EU-FIRE Ltd. supported school-starting in Transcarpathia. With the company’s help, HIA provided school equipment such as writing materials and exercise books for children between the age of 9-16.
